This episode of Expandizons makes me really happy. It’s super chill — good beats with a light touch. Real strings (like cellos) mixed with electronica. New tracks from some of my favorite artists and new artists who’ve never been in this podcast before. And a satisfying minimal techno set at the end, ending with some Cosmicleaf-flavored psytrance from Cydelix.<\/p>\n

So let’s take a look. We start with Hugo Maffre<\/a> (Paris, France), followed by a track from Tab & Anitek. You’ve heard Anitek in previous episodes of Expandizons (when it was called “Expand Your Musical Horizons”). You can find some of his releases on Dusted Wax Kingdom<\/a> and Jamendo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Karmacoda shared a track from their latest album (“Love and Fate<\/a>“), and it features Tyler Stone of Sutro<\/a>. They’re followed by another San Francisco favorite, Celeste Lear, with a cello-infused track from her new release “Sonic Fields<\/a>.” Superdirt2 (Germany) keeps the cello vibe going with Ethno Logic (from Algoriddims<\/a>), which you can find on Magnatune<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Aris H (Athens, Greece) released his track “Burning Leather” on the Virtualgroov<\/a> netlabel in Germany. You can also find it in the Internet Archives<\/a>. Frech & Koch<\/a> were featured in the Digital Family Volume 5<\/a> compilation released on Ektoplazm by Digital Diamonds<\/a> (Germany).<\/p>\n

The Evadez track — “Despicable Beauty (Sine remix)” — is from the latest Sine Music compilation, Spring Chill Volume 3<\/a>. DML’s (aka Dirk Lamprecht’s) “Dreimuehlen (Tim Susa remix)” is from the release Pasture 3 – The Future of Past<\/a> on the Broque netlabel in Germany.<\/p>\n

The Sunset Orange remix (originally from Maricopa, from the epic Tusk Wax Six<\/a>) was by Ferdinand Dreyssig<\/a> and Marvin Hey<\/a> (Germany), found on Soundcloud.<\/p>\n

And finally, the last track from Cydelix<\/a> (“Socrates in Istanbul”) is from his newest release “Fights for Rights<\/a>” on Cosmicleaf Records (Greece)<\/a>.<\/p>\n
